The Eastern Townships, or Les Cantons-de-l’Est, is a picturesque region in Quebec, just east of Montreal, stretching toward the U.S. border. Known for its rolling hills, scenic lakes, and charming villages, the area offers a unique blend of natural beauty, history, and culture shaped by both French and English heritage. Our home for three nights will be the Delta Sherbrooke, where breathtaking views greet you from every window. Begin your journey the serene Abbey of Saint-Benoît-du-Lac, founded in 1912, home to just over fifty monks who follow the Rule of Saint Benedict and sing Gregorian chants at Mass. Nestled in a beautiful rural setting, the abbey produces its own cheese, cider, and candy. We’ll also visit Vignoble le Cep d’Argent, a 114-acre vineyard boasting over 60,000 vines and stunning vistas of Lake Magog. Explore the enchanting grounds, learn the stages of traditional wine production, try your hand at sabering a bottle, and enjoy a wine tasting. Next, delight in a guided tour and tasting at Fromagerie La Station, discovering the art and science behind cheese making. Experience the vibrant city of Sherbrooke on a guided tour, where 18 enormous downtown frescoes bring the city’s history and heritage to life. Through interactive experiences, these artworks transform the city center into an open-air museum showcasing art, history, and culture. Marvel at the 19th-century architecture, scenic streets, and natural wonders like the Magog River Gorge. We’ll also explore the Bombardier Museum, where the life and achievements of J. Armand Bombardier are celebrated. Experience A Passion for Success, a multimedia show produced by Moment Factory, which traces the evolution of the Bombardier company and its enduring spirit of innovation. This is an all-Canadian adventure filled with art, culture, history, and breathtaking scenery—you won’t want to miss it!
